Sigurdur Agust Einarsson has been appointed to the new position of Director of Engineering Operations at Coripharma. This new role encompasses responsibility for ensuring that all machinery, software, production systems, infrastructure, and facilities, including maintenance and continuous improvements, are in place to support rapid growth in R&D and manufacturing. Additionally, the engineering division will provide leadership in safety, health, and environmental matters. Sigurdur will also take a seat on the company's executive team.
Sigurdur brings twenty years of experience managing technical operations for major domestic industrial companies such as Alcoa Fjardaral, Icelandair, and most recently JBT Marel. He holds a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iceland and master's degrees in production engineering and management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and in materials science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.
